Pewter does not tarnish as easily as silver or copper. However, slight discoloration may occur over time with normal use. This is a natural characteristic of pewter. No chemical treatments are applied to prevent this process. You may enjoy the antique character that develops over time, or restore the original appearance by following the care instructions below.

Step 1. For light discoloration: Mix baking soda and water into a thick paste, then apply it to the surface with a soft cloth and rub firmly to restore its original appearance. For detailed areas, such as floral patterns, a cotton swab may be helpful. If the surface has a grain, rub in the direction of the grain whenever possible. After cleaning, wash with a mild detergent and rinse thoroughly several times.

Step 2. For heavy discoloration: Fill a stainless steel pot with enough water to fully submerge the product and add baking soda (approximately 5 tablespoons per 1 liter of water). Bring the solution to a boil and boil for about 10 minutes. Afterward, follow the cleaning procedure described in Step 1.

Do not allow the products to overlap while boiling.

- Applicable Products: Bowl, Plate, Cup, Other products with thick or solid construction

※ Note: The products listed below must be cleaned using Step 1. Boiling these products may weaken work-hardened areas and reduce their strength.

- Long-handled spoons or forks

- Products with long, slender shapes

Important Notes

1. Clean the product with a soft cloth and mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
(Avoid using abrasive pads or rough cleaning materials, as they may scratch the surface.)

2. Pewter is a relatively soft metal. Avoid impacts, bending, or dropping the product.

3. Due to the handcrafted nature of each piece, slight scratches, small marks, and slight variations in shape or weight may occur.

4. Avoid placing the product on rough surfaces, as they may scratch the surface.

5. Do not boil the product to remove polishing compounds. Mild detergent is sufficient for regular cleaning.

6. Do not place the product in a dishwasher or microwave.

7. For long-term storage, clean and dry the product thoroughly, then place it in a resealable bag and store it in a cool, dry place.

8. Avoid prolonged contact with acidic substances such as wine, orange juice, or mustard. Rinse and clean the product promptly after use to prevent staining.

9. Pewter has a relatively low melting point. Avoid exposing the product to direct heat or excessively high temperatures, as this may cause damage.
